TRF (Foundation)
The Trinity Roselle Foundation, an Illinois Not For Profit Corporation, was formed as an I.R.C. Section 501(c)3 organization by members of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Congregation U.A.C., of 405 S. Rush Street, Roselle, Illinois (Trinity Lutheran Church). Trinity members serve on its Board of Directors.

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide encouragement and develop gifts that strengthen the mission of Trinity Lutheran Church and help accomplish its mission over time. The promise to be biblically sound, enrich community and meet people’s needs during all seasons of life is done in cooperation with the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS), the Northern Illinois District here, there and everywhere, in our time and in generations to come.

It is the intent that the invested funds of the Foundation be used for purposes that advance the mission of Trinity Lutheran Church, with an emphasis on advancing mission and ministry beyond limits normally associated with the annual budget of the congregation by providing funds that allow allocations and requests for funding:
  • Per congregational intentionality, policy and vision as directed by the Church Council and Staff leadership of Trinity Lutheran Church and School
  • Per Foundation policy and per funds managed with the Foundation, such as the School Endowment Fund
Members, as individual stewards, may also designate their gifts to the Foundation either as to the use of the substance or earnings of the funds, or the management of said funds, so long as these gifts are acceptable to the Foundation per a Gift Acceptance Policy that is approved by the Trinity Church Council. The Foundation is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, particularly as those apply to Not-For-Profit entities.
